Germans

Small German command set for Flames of War/15mm
First time attempting a camo pattern by hand on 15mm vehicles. I tried a couple years ago with an airbrush on some German tanks. Turned out decent but I had used an ink over them and ended up repainting them.
I think it came out pretty decent for first attempt. If anything I think I need to not make as big of lines with the camo paint. Maybe flare them as well a bit more.
Debated on painting the guys to put in the back of these transports. Finally decided not to. Mainly cause I already have 4 German transports with the guys in them so figured it would be easy to use these with no guys to pick out the difference between transports and just "gun" trucks.
Not to much with the Germans. They were one of the first armies I painted when I got into 15mm WW2. so in order to keep them all looking the same I didn't do much to them. Debated this for a while. Finally realized I'm to OCD to have some of an army be different looking so kept it the same paint scheme back when I was first painting 15mm. If I do some Africa or winter troops then I'll change it up.

USA Artillery

Here are some 105mm Artillary. Have a decent amount of USA 15mm put together. However finally got some artillery now to add
 All lined up
Side shot of them. All of them had the same figures so tried to switch it up on how they were placed on the base.
Not to much to do with the guns. Put some highlights on them and painted some wood logs on the sides.
Now to get to shelling the enemy!

Bard

Quick paint up of a Bard Mini
Had this Bard in my random minis bin for a while now. Could have done more with this base. Was really just trying to get him painted and off the desk though.
Not quite sure if I want to do more with the base or not. Kept it simple for now. Was able to paint him up pretty quick. Amazing how quick I can paint a mini when its the only one I'm painting. Rather than a group of them.

Soviet Infantry

Now onto the Soviets
First time Painting Soviets for WW2. I painted some of the Team Yankee Soviets already. Not to much different with the uniforms from what I could tell. Could be totally off
Also first time using a Vallejo Texture for the Base. Took a bit more work like how it turned out though.
Nothing to crazy on these 15mm. Mainly only uniform and webbing have highlights on them. Rest was just a base color.

The rest of them all lined up
A close up on the command units
Think I'm covered on the Soviet infantry. Just need some Artillery and ready to hit the field

British 15mm Vehicles

From the Monty's hounds set
All grouped up
Nothing special on these guys. Tried to use Decals I have for Britain. However they must be too old as they kept tearing. So will need to add them whenever I get around to buying some more.
Nothing to crazy with the tanks either. I do like how the brown on the turret of the tank
Can't really see the tracks. Did what I have been doing on tank tracks lately. Painting Brown and using Nulin Oil twice on them. Not sure if I am going to add much to the UK force or not.

British 15mm Infantry

UK Motor Rifle Platoon
First attempt at painting UK troops for Flames of War. I think they came out pretty good.
This was the final guys left from Montys Hound set back before Flames went to the new edition
Trying for a close up here. I did use a Army Painter flesh wash on all the flesh parts. Added a bit more depth to the faces without having to highlight. Think I'll start doing this from now on.

Walking Dead part 2

Last of the minis from the Walking Dead kickstarter painted up!
No clue who any of these characters are except Michonne and the Governor. Then again I haven't caught the Walking Dead on TV for several seasons now. Looks like the comics were really fleshed out more in regards to characters. Need to read them already and stop talking about them.
 Close up of the Survivors.
Did just the usual base colors with a wash. Again I think they turned out pretty good for being to me just board game miniatures. Still not a big fan of the sculpts. Some are great some are just so so. Mostly its the material they are made out of. Some of the weapons are bent etc.

Now for the Zombies!!
Again kept it simple with the zombies. Didn't go for any hardcore blood effects. Painted the skin a different color but used same flesh wash on them.

There are small tears in their clothes that I take as wounds so I painted them red. I also painted the bases of all the zombies red so a quick look while playing you can see what you are dealing with.
I kept the basing job on all these pretty simple as well. Just grass and some rocks. Also had no clue how to paint zombie flesh any other color except for white. Everything I tried just turned out to look to normal not zombie/dead flesh like. Still have yet to play this game. At least now I have all the figs painted for it

Walking dead

Finally got around to painting the extras from the Walking Dead miniatures game I got from the kick starter Mantic did a while back.
This is about 1/3 of the minis from 3 expansions that they had with the kickstarter.
Only know I think one character out of all these that I painted. Haven't kept up with the show and never did read the comics. I assume the comics are way better just haven't gotten around to reading them.
I jumped on this kick starter when they launched it due to my love of walking dead at the time and well of course Zombie things. Have still yet to even try the game out. From what I hear its a good skirmish game. I think if I were to get into it more though I would like to have more of a campaign system. I do wonder if the rules have anything for that.
The guy in the middle is Glen from the show and comics. One of my favorite characters and even though *spoilers* he dies in the show. I actually have yet to see it as I stopped watching it the season prior. Sometime I will catch up on the show.
The guy in the middle on this pic is Tyrese? I think?? Had to get something out to boost him up for the camera. Good looking mini when seen in person.

I would have to say going over these sculpts while they are just the normal board game type material. The sculpts are ok, with only a few that had issues on them. The main issue I saw with all of them was the back of the heads. They seemed to just not have any sculpt to them even when they should. Hair for example doesn't just stop halfway back. Nor does a bandanna wrapped around your head.

FOW Russians

All of the box set for Stalins Bears painted up
For the 3rd post for this years challenge I was able to paint up some Soviet tanks from the box set Stalins Bears.
4xT-34/85 Tanks
Was going to just put red star decals on most the tanks but read that wasn't how all the tanks were. Not exactly trying to be historically accurate here so whether what I read was right or not the decals are on now. Would have been easy to just go with Red Stars and I'm sure everyone would have known exactly what they were.
3x ISU-122 Assault guns
I'm polish so on the side of these tanks I put the polish decals. Again from what I read polish volunteers would do this if they were together in a tank. Historically accurate? I did a quick 5 min search so who knows
6xIS-2 heavy tanks
Final picture. You can't really see the treads well. I did something different with these than the normal way I have done treads on FOW tanks. Ended up painting them a brown and washing them twice with Nulin Oil to bring them down to almost a black. I like the effect on this rather than the straight black with some metal drybrush. A little metal on the treads probably wouldn't have hurt though

Blood Bowl Elves

Got second team for Blood Bowl finally painted up. Still working on the Orks that come in the box set Finally got these guys done. I hate painting yellow as it usually turns out like crap for me. However since I didn't do to many highlights on the yellow seems to not be to bad.

Ended up just painting them the way games workshop went with.

Didn't do much detail on the faces. Haven't quite mastered the painting of the eyes yet. Without making them look freaky/terrible. I somewhat prefer the faces to just have a deep wash and no colored eye though.
Finally the counters that come with them. Not to hard to paint up and think they came out nicely. Only issue is trying to hold those damn footballs while you paint them.

First entry for this the Analogue Painting challenge VIII

Have had this walking dead diorama type thing to paint up for a while now. Finally got around to painting it once the challenge started.
I have yet to catch up on the walking dead. However been told this was a pretty crazy scene in the show. However the walking dead game by Mantic is based on the comics
Reason Rick is missing a hand as that happens in the comics and as far as I know does not happen in the TV show. At least as far as I have watched that is.
Close up of Neegan himself. Only character that can actually be used in the game from this diorama. All in all was nice and easy to paint up and got me back into wanting to paint again.
